Product Details
Aumeascon’s Online SDI (Silt Density Index) analyzer is an automatic device for real-time monitoring of water contamination, mainly applied in RO systems to evaluate the fouling potential of feed water by measuring the clogging rate of a 0.45μm filter membrane at a constant pressure of 0.207 MPa, in compliance with ASTM D4189-95. It replaces manual testing with continuous, unattended operation, improving accuracy and efficiency while reducing human error.
How It Works
AM-SDI Smart SDI Analyzer is able to provide automatic and continuous monitoring to RO feedwater. The operator can swiftly and precisely perceive the pretreatment result for RO system. Accordingly SDI measurement is not troublesome, and bias can reduced to a limit extent.
Smart SDI Smart SDI Analyzer use the method illustrated in ASTM D 4189-07, collection time is 5, 10, and 15 min, to calculate SDI. The method also precisely measure that of well water, filtrated water （<1.0NTU）or clarified water.
Calculate the silt density index as follows:
SDI n = （1-T0 /Tn） × 100/n
Where:
SDI – Silt Density Index
n- Total elapsed flow (filtrate through membrane) time, normally 5, 10, and 15min.
T0 – Initial time required to collect a certain volume of water (at n=0).
Tn – Time require to collect a certain volume of water after testing time
