AM-PPB-DO Dissolved oxygen measurement principle is based on electrochemical polarography process, the electrode is composed of platinum electrode (cathode) and silver electrode (anode), the electrode is immersed in the electrolyte, the sensor front set oxygen permeable film. When the electrode is working, a fixed polarization voltage is applied between the anode and the cathode. Oxygen molecules diffuse into the measuring loop through the membrane, resulting in REDOX reaction and diffusion current. The reaction process is as follows::
Anode:4Ag + 4Cl– → 4AgCl + 4e–
Cathode:O2 + 2H2O + 4e– → 4OH–
The size of the current is proportional to the concentration of oxygen in the sample to be measured. The current, together with the temperature signal measured inside the sensor, is sent to the transmitter, and the oxygen content is calculated by a function.
