The 80GHz high-frequency radar level transmitter adopts Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology. It emits 80GHz high-frequency microwaves and receives the reflected echo from the medium surface(medium or solid). The distance is calculated using the frequency difference with the core formula:
Liquid Level = Tank Height – (Echo Flight Time × Speed of Light ÷ 2)
The high frequency results in a very narrow beam angle (e.g., 8°) and small antenna size, allowing for installation in tight spaces and avoiding internal tank obstructions and concentrating energy to penetrate steam, dust, and other interferences for high-precision measurement.
